
Dr. Bart Knox was born and raised in Texas. He attended TCU on an academic scholarship and graduated summa cum laude. He then received an academic scholarship to attend the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he graduated with highest honors finishing third in his class of 200 students. There he received an award for academic excellence in anatomy. After medical school, he completed an internship in general surgery and completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Knox moved to Colorado Springs and is a founding partner of Colorado ENT & Allergy.
Dr. Knox’s interests include treating tumors of the head and neck including thyroid surgery. Over the past several years, he has been active in teaching physicians in the United States how to perform minimally invasive nasal and sinus surgeries and procedures in the office which avoids the need for general surgery in the operating room and allows for quicker recovery, is less expensive for the patient and healthcare system, and is safer for the patient. He has spoken at various state and national meetings. Recently, he was one of two ENT surgeons in the United States asked to co-author a paper titled, “Awake Rhinology Surgery in Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic in Europe” which was published in an international journal and presented at the European Rhinological Society meeting held in Greece in September of 2021.
In his spare time, Dr. Knox enjoys travelling, music, playing golf, skiing, and spending time with his family and friends.
