Board Certified Allergy & Immunology
Dr. Hanson joined the Colorado ENT & Allergy team in February 2022. She is from Lincoln, Nebraska and received her undergraduate degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. After graduating from University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, NE, she went on to do her pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She served an additional year as a chief resident and then completed a fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
After 6 years in Kansas City, Dr. Hanson and her husband moved to Omaha where she spent her first 5 years in practice at Boys Town National Research Hospital. Her interests include pediatric food allergy, asthma, seasonal/environmental allergies and penicillin allergy. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Colorado Medical Society.
Dr. Hanson is married to her high-school sweetheart, and they have two children (twins!). They enjoy hiking, biking and skiing as a family. In her spare time, Dr. Hanson also enjoys reading and yoga. She has been described by her patients as kind, caring and a good listener. She strives to ensure that patients feel heard and walk away with a good understanding of their health condition and how to manage it.
